Country Store, Arkansas

This old country store is..(or was)..in Mt. View Arkansas where I've been many times to perform at the Ozark Folk Center. Like everything else old & cool, the store was torn down, and a Super Wal-Mart built across the street. I'm glad I took a photo. - jb

Driving south of Memphis on Hwy 61, I looked in the distance and saw this beautifiul sea of wildflowers. I couldn't resist taking a few photos. - jb
Best Girlfriends
© joni bishop
I didn't get their names, but I could tell that these two little girls were a team. The picture was taken at an outdoor festival, and they were having the best time, doing what best girlfirends do on a Saturday afternoon in the park. - jb

Second Line, New Orleans
© joni bishop
This gentleman was the proud participant in a Second Line parade at the Jazz & Hertitage Festival in New Orleans a few years ago. It was before Katrina. The Spirit of New Orleans somehow carries it forward, hopefully to new and better tinmes. Laissez les bon temps rouler! - jb
Midnight in Memphis
© joni bishop
I've been to Memphis and through Memphis often. This photo of an empty street was taken a few blocks from the Lorraine Hotel where Dr. M.L. King was shot. The Hotel is now the Civil Rights Museum. The street probably hasn't changed much. - jb
